Sally Pretorius

Sally Pretorius is the Associate Attorney at Andrae Law, PLLC. She began her career in civil litigation in Dallas and then moved to Austin, Texas to practice family law with a large family law firm.  She has extensive experience in family law litigation, handling complex custody cases and managing all aspects of divorce and custody cases. She graduated cum laude from St. Mary's University in San Antonio with a B.A. in Political Science and then moved to Dallas, Texas where she received her Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University. While at Southern Methodist University, she won the regional competition for the ABA Labor & Employment Mock Trial Team and was a semi-finalist at the national competition.

Ms. Pretorius currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the Austin Young Lawyers Association. Ms. Pretorius recently completed the Austin Bar/AYLA Leadership committee where she helped organize the first ever Pro Bono Prom, raising over $27,000.00 for Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid. She volunteers with the Volunteer Legal Services on a regular basis by providing legal services to walk-in Austin residents, is a provisional member of the Junior League of Austin, served on the Board of Directors for the Young Women’s Alliance for 2011-2012 year and currently serves as the Alumnae Recruitment Chair for the Young Women’s Alliance. Ms. Pretorius also pursues her love of litigation with the UT Advocacy Program as a Litigation Institute Instructor, serves as a spar team coach and guest judges for the UT Mock Trial teams. Ms. Pretorius was also recently selected to be a member of the 2012 Leadership Austin Emerge Program.
