Chris Sims

Chris is the Director of Finance for Pirkey Barber PLLC, a national law firm headquartered in Austin which focuses on trademark and copyright law.  His primary focus is the strategic direction of the firm working closely with the Management and Finance Committees, along with the Executive Director, to further the business of law.  Prior to that, he served as Controller for Bickerstaff Heath Delgado Acosta LLP.  He brings financial and management expertise and has a long history of working in law firms as well as experience working in large corporations, including IBM, TGI Friday’s and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance from the University of North Texas in Denton and is a Texas Certified Public Accountant.  He is a member in the Association of Legal Administrators where he served on the Board of Directors for the Austin Chapter most recently as President, President-Elect, and Treasurer.

Beyond the fascinating world of accounting and finance, Chris enjoys spending time with his husband of 21 years, traveling, and snow skiing.
