ABA Seeks Comment on Rule Changes
The American Bar Association Commission on Ethics 20/20 is seeking comment on recently-released proposed amendments to the ABA Model Rules. Explanation and description of the proposed changes can be found here and here. The proposed changes address several topics, including conflicts of interest, multi-jurisdictional fee-splitting, foreign lawyers practicing in the United States, registration of in-house counsel admitted in a different state, and pro hac vice admission.
