    In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Texas Center for Legal Ethics is extending deadlines for the Supreme Court of Texas mandated course, the Justice James A. Baker Guide to Ethics and Professionalism in Texas.

    Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, the Justice James A. Baker Guide to Ethics and Professionalism course scheduled for April 17, 2020 in Houston has been canceled.

    The Texas Center for Legal Ethics is proud to announce that Charles “Skip” Watson of Austin will receive the 2019 Chief Justice Jack Pope Professionalism Award.

    The Texas Center for Legal Ethics is launching a new feature called “Ethics Question of the Month.”  A new legal ethics question will be published each month in the Texas Bar Journal  and on the Center’s website at LegalEthicsTexas.com.  Test your knowledge of legal ethics in Texas and see how you did on the Center’s website.      
  8. New Ethics Opinion Recently Released

    Texas Center for Legal Ethics recently added the latest ethics opinion 676 released by the Professional Ethics Committee for the State Bar.  A copy of all opinions can be found under the Resources tab on the Texas Center for Legal Ethics website.
