TCLE Gets Justices’ Views on Ethics
Executive Director Jonathan Smaby (far left) recently moderated a panel discussion with Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson (center left), Justice Phil Johnson (center right) and Justice Debra Lehrmann (far right) as part of the Texas Supreme Court’s visit to Austin College in Sherman to hear oral arguments. The panel discussion, Ethics and Professionalism in the Legal Profession Today – a View from the High Court, was part of an CLE program that followed the morning Court session. The audience heard the Justices discuss various topics, including their view of judges using social media and what really goes on behind closed doors when the Justices discuss cases.
